Culture Fest
Culture Fest!
-
Culture Fest is Taft Elementary’s year-end celebration of everyone and everything that makes our school beautiful! This beloved evening is an invitation to explore each other’s culture through the sharing of food, music, dancing, and community. Taft Family Culture Fest is our most anticipated event of the year, where Taft families and community members are invited to share food, dancing, and music together in a beautiful celebration of where we come from and what we have to share. This year, we had an astounding turnout of around 800 attendees, including around 100 volunteers, and enjoyed performances by many student and community artists.

Volunteer shifts vary greatly and there’s a role for everyone! Shifts are about one hour long, so you still have time to enjoy the party too!
• Love to be up front? Be a greeter at the Check in Table! • Food is your love language? Hop on the food serving line! Or be a food runner, getting all the amazing dishes from the welcome table to the food line. • Want support behind the scenes? Set up and take down crews are an integral part of making Culture Fest happen! -
How do I sign up? Use Link to volunteer to view and sign up for a shift! Shifts are first come, first served! • Who can volunteer? Taft Community members- i.e, Taft family, friends, and partners! We recommend that volunteers are 16 , able to stand for about an hour in warm, outside temperatures in a highly stimulating (loud, busy, fun!) environment. • Can I invite my family/ friends/ team to volunteer? Yes! Culture Fest is a celebration best enjoyed alongside your favorite people! Invite them too! • Where/ when does Culture Fest occur? Culture Fest occurs at Taft Elementary 3722 W. Anderson St, in Boise Idaho on Thursday May 7th, 2026 from 5-7pm. • What safety/security measures will be at Culture Fest? Culture Fest is a closed campus event, meaning it is by RSVP invitation to students, families and close community members only. Officers from Boise Police Department will be present as well. • Who can I contact for more information? Reach out to Kelsey Swope at kelsey.swope@boiseschools.org, or call 208-900-7084 for any questions! • Where do I park? Come early for side street parking.
